Eclectic and self-taught artist, Alice loves working with materials.
After studying and gaining various professional experiences in the fields of styling and decoration, she decided in 2022 to create the Alba studio to devote herself to her artistic universe.
She imagines graphic compositions with architectural lines, in which abstract forms rub shoulders with the relief of materials. Inspired by primitive arts, primitive forms, architecture or landscapes, she breaks down and deconstructs the lines to create abstract assemblages in a search for balance of forms. Combining art and crafts, the artist mainly works with wool using different tools, playing with textures, shapes and colours to give body and relief to her paintings and tapestries.
While the majority of her works are made of tufted wool, her thirst for exploration and her attraction to manufacturing and gesture also leads her to experiment with other materials such as linocutting or ceramics to enrich her work, and her aesthetic research is intrinsically linked to a technical understanding and a relationship with the material.
