Aurélien Hild is a French visual artist born in 1992 in Lyon, where he now lives, also dividing his time between Paris, Marrakech, and Marseille.

Exploring a variety of media, from urban posters to clay sculptures, Aurélien Hild also creates on and with objects steeped in history, transforming each piece into a unique work. His art, both raw and imbued with spirituality, challenges and shakes things up.

He positions himself as a bridge between the visible and invisible worlds. A collector of stories, objects, and symbols, he assembles and reinvents them, breathing new life into what seems doomed to oblivion. His work, free from any pre-established rules, explores and transcends the fundamental dualities of existence: life and death, shadow and light, rational and irrational.

Aurélien Hild's work has evolved over time. Initially influenced by graffiti and the use of spray paint, he then moved towards abstraction, drawing inspiration from expressionism and the Japanese Gutai movement of the 1950s. He then explored Indian ink painting, giving birth to canvases that invite you to travel, especially an inner journey. Pushing his approach ever further, he explores unexpected media, even painting on real animal skulls, thus inscribing his art in a transgressive and fascinating dimension that cannot leave you indifferent.

Today, Aurélien Hild's artistic practice is a vital, liberating act, close to ritual, where raw material and instinctive gesture meet.
