About the author 1s5u5j
Albert Cruells, born in 1947 in Spain, is a contemporary artist whose early life was shaped by the natural world and his family's creative influence—his father was a piano teacher and his mother a writer. His artistic journey began unusually early, with his first exhibition held at the age of seven in his grandfather’s butcher shop.
At eighteen, Cruells moved to Barcelona to study Architecture, immersing himself in the city’s modern artistic scene. He also found inspiration in Cadaqués, where he frequently showcased his evolving work. His art gained international recognition, leading to the publication of his first book.
The Vila Casas Foundation has curated his work, and the Antonio Saura Foundation honored him with an anthological exhibition and a comprehensive career compilation book. Despite his success, Cruells remains deeply connected to his roots, continuing to work with the same ion and dedication he had as a child with a paintbrush.
