Je reprenais gout a la photographie apres avoir arreté pendant de nombreuses années, faute de moyens techniques.
Fascinée par l'univers gothique, je me mets en scène comme pour échapper a ma vie, en entrant dans une tombe.

Pauline Foucart Escarcega, a self-taught artist, embraced her career as a professional artist in June 2023. Psychically tormented by the twists and turns of time, she finds refuge in artistic creation to exorcise her dark ideas and escape the darkness of despair. Deeply skeptical of the world and its meaning, she draws inspiration from her tumultuous life experiences.
Her chaotic journey led her to stay in numerous pareidolistic hotels, as well as to live an existence wandering the streets, searching for meaning and answers. Despite these trials, Pauline continued her studies and eventually worked for years in an uncreative environment, which profoundly affected her mind and behavior.
A raw artist at heart, Pauline also practices videography, a ion that she has never been able to realize financially, but which she explores during her free moments. Her journey was marked by a burnout in May 2019, which pushed her to turn to art on a daily basis to find refuge and give meaning to her life.
Her creative process is anarchic, sometimes taking place during the day, sometimes at night, whenever she finds the time and means. His works are the fruit of rich and varied encounters, reflecting his wandering life in search of authentic experiences and sensations, with the aim of not sinking into emptiness.
Among her influences, we include Joel Peter Witkin, whose work had a profound impact on her first artistic steps, as well as David LaChapelle for his crazy and polished approach to photography, which she had the opportunity to discover during notable exhibitions.
