As a child, I loved looking at photographs. With my father’s camera – a small medium-format model where everything had to be manually adjusted – I made my first attempts, likely developing an early sense for the technical side of photography.
Parallel to this, music has shaped my life since childhood. Now, as a professional musician, I create tones and sounds that live and fade in the moment. Photography, in contrast, allows me to preserve fleeting impressions for eternity – a fascinating counterpoint that enriches my artistic work.
When photographing, I love discovering details and new perspectives, presenting them in an aesthetically compelling way. These can be urban scenes, architecture, evocative nature shots, or minimalist, almost abstract motifs. Street photography, portraits, and the energy of concert photography captivate me as well. Each image is an attempt to preserve the essence of a moment.
What drives me is the joy of capturing spontaneous moments in images that resonate long after they occur. Photography, for me, is a medium that makes the ephemeral visible – a contrast to the fleeting nature of music.
Music lives in the moment; photography preserves it. I capture the ephemeral in images that reveal the beauty, contrasts, and sometimes the absurdities of everyday life.
